Public Notice – 2007 Board Election

On April 17, 2007, the voters of Midland Community Unit School District #7 will elect four members of the Midland Board of Education.

The terms of the following Board members expire in 2007:

          Sara Braun

          Steve Jesse

          Karl Koehler

          Mark Leigh

To be eligible to serve, a school board member must be, on the date of election, a citizen of the United States,

at least 18 years of age, a resident of the State of Illinois and the Midland School District for at least one year immediately preceding the election, and a registered voter.  The school board election is nonpartisan, and board candidates do not run under political party affiliation.

In order for a candidate’s name to be placed on the ballot, nomination papers must be filed with the Secretary of the Board of Education or his/her Designated Representative during the specified filing period, beginning at 8:00 A.M. on January 29, 2007, and ending at 5:00 P.M. on February 5, 2007.
