Midland Community School District 7 is proud of the quality education its School Board, Administration and Staff provides for students within the Lacon/Sparland/Varna communities. Our primary goals, as set by the Board of Education, is to improve students achievement on standardized tests, to continue to build upon the positive relationships in our community, and to continue to be fiscally responsible with the districts finances.
Last year many new initiatives were implemented at Midland Community School System, including an accelerated Math program at the middle school, a Curriculum Alignment Program, and a Strategic Plan. The 2009-2010 school year will see a continuation of the aforementioned system with the implementation of the Strategic Plan. Additionally, the district is has also improved school/parent communication by implementing a parental notification system
