Treasure’s Report
- Wrote Middle School a check on October 28th for $7, 241.60 which was their half of the account when we split into two PTOs (one for Middle School and one for Elementary School).
- Made almost $9,000 on raffle sales!

Principal’s Report
Newsletter highlights
- Christmas Program dates were mentioned
PreK program Dec. 12 at 6:30
K-2 program Dec. 13 at 6:30
3-4 program Dec. 15 at 6:30
- Hult Education Center in Peoria will be here to do presentations for the Kindergarten classes as well at 4th graders.
- Ms. Albers felt that Fall Family Fest was a huge success. She thanked everyone for their participation.
Market Day
- Pie Sales was successful
- Gavin Smith sold the most pies and was awarded $40
- Olivia Pyles was second and won $25
- Markovich and McGlasson’s classes were top selling classes and were rewarded with popcorn and a movie.
Box Tops
- Missy Bade sent in 5830 box tops and we should be getting a check for $583 dollars!
- She is planning to send home collection sheets to encourage families to send in more Box Tops.
Subway
- We will wait until Spring
Pizza Peel
- Wait until January
Scrip
- Will be distributed Nov. 15th at 3:30 until 5 pm
- Any not collected will be left in the office to be picked up at buyers’ convenience.
- We estimate that we raised around $1,000
Special Requests
Sue Riddell
- Requested $500 to get Brian Fox “Ellis” to come for 2 presentations
- He is a story Teller
- Will be used in conjunction with a book distribution
- Presentation will be February 22nd
- Funding is available for special requests

Old Business
- Grandparents Day- had 40 dozen cookies donated- 6 dozen were left over
o Great day, no problems
o Many grandparents brought their own camera-good idea!
- Fall Fest
o Great turn out
o Ran out of 200 hot dogs and Hot Cocoa
o Used up all Mugs from the storage
o Made $180
o Talked about pros and cons of having it the same night as the Middle School dance
- Middle School Inventory
o Missy organized all games and consumables (plates, napkins, etc.)
o Threw out what was old, outdated, etc.
o Missy looked for the wire wheel that we use for the grand raffle at the carnival. We found out that the wheel that we use belongs to the IGA. We borrow it from them for that PTO sponsored event.
Activity Planning and Ideas
- Night with Santa
o December 2nd Friday either 5-7 or 6-8
o Pictures with Santa
o Letter writing- Maybe working with Student Council
o Movie
o Hot Cocoa
o Cookies will be made for $1.50 per dozen by Suzie
o Entrance fee will be a donation to the Red Stocking Fund
o Meredith, Carrie and Krystal are willing to help plan this event
- Canival
o February 25th 4-7 at the Elementary School
o Raffle- Try a Draw Down approach
o Letter to businesses are going out soon. Missy and Carrie will work on them together.
o Check on Face painting by HS students that need volunteer hours
o Will be done as a money maker
o Grand Raffle – ipad 2?
o The majority of attendees agreed to bring this back
New Business
- Book Fair
o Renee Streitmatter will be in charge this year
o She has us registered and confirmed the dates for Winter book fair 12/12-12/16
o Money is used to purchase AR tests
o Elementary PTO will continue to purchase AR tests for new books that have been purchased by the district
- Bake Sale
o Jennifer is willing to set up on the 13th
o Missy on the 15th with Meredith and Carrie
o Angie will sell and clean up both nights
o Check with Carol for the 13th and Heather Markovich
- Christmas Gifts
o In the past we have chosen two families (1 MS and 1 ES) to donate to
o This year we will do 1 family at the Elementary School and purchase presents as well as household needed items.
- Question about How the Website is Updated
o Mr. Moutray takes emails and has been prompt at change requests that have been made.
