General Information

Media Center Mission

In our global society where information is a dominant resource learners must be information literate. Information literacy-- the ability to find, use, evaluate, and communicate information-- is increasingly important. The media program is an essential partner in the school's endeavor to provide a comprehensive education that meets the needs of students now and in the future.

The media program provides:

Fines and lost or damaged materials

  1. Fines for overdue books will be five cents per day.

  2. Fines for reference materials and AV materials will be twenty-five cents per day.

  3. Students shall pay replacement cost and processing fee for any item lost or damaged beyond repair. If an item is repairable, the student will pay the cost of repairs.

  4. Fines are exclusive of weekends, holidays and excused absences, provided the item is returned the day after the absence.

  5. Overdue notices will be given to students at least twice during each grading period.

  6. Payment for lost materials will be refunded if the book is returned by the end of the school year.
