Midland Blackboard System

 

Teacher / Class Startup Instructions

 

  1. Teachers will need to submit a request for their class to be added to the Midland Blackboard System.  This is done by simply sending the request to Mr. Moutray or Mrs. Dempsey.  The request should include the following:
    a.  Teachers Name
    b.  Name of Class
    c.  Short Name of Class (example: Digital Communications short name is DC101)
    d.  Class discription
    e.  Your email address
  2. Once the request is received, the teacher and class will be added to the blackboard system.  No students will be added at this time.
  3. The initial username and password for the teacher will be:
    a.  username = first initial first name and them last name (example Michael Moutray would be  mmoutray)
    b.  password = ______    The first time you logon with this password you will be asked to change it.  Please remember your password because I will not be allowed access to it.
  4. The next step is to add the students to your class.  Once you have a final class roster send a copy to Mr. Moutray or Mrs. Dempsey.  They will add the students to the blackboard system.  If you would like, student emails may also be sent with the list to be added.
  5. Once the students are added to the system, you will be able to enroll them into your class.
  6. Now that the class is added and students enrolled, you are ready to begin.
  7. Students will login to the blackboard using the following login:
    a.  username = first initial first name and them last name (example Michael Moutray would be  mmoutray)
    b.  Password = ______    The first time a student logs on with this password they will be asked to change it.  They will need to remember their password because I will not be allowed access to it.  Although if a password is forgotten, I can reset the password to the default.  (****)
